MUMBAI : Diwakar Kumar, who was seen in Naseeruddin Shah starrer Irada, will next be seen in Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta starrer Vadh. He comes from a theatre background, and plays a pivotal role in Vadh which is slated to release on 9th December 2022.

Tell us something about your role in Vadh…

I am playing the role of Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta’s son. It’s about a family that stays in Gwalior.

How was your experience of working with Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta?

This is my second film, so for me, it was a learning experience. They are brilliant actors and wonderful people. I enjoyed working with them.

In the trailer, we get a small glimpse of yours and your character doesn’t want to help his parents. It looks like a grey shade zone. So, were you hesitant to play a grey character in your second film itself?

No, not at all! When I met the director after the auditions I even thought that it was a grey character. But, then he explained to me that it’s not like that. Every person has an aim, and my character wants to go to America for higher education and he has been doing everything on his own. It’s not like he doesn’t want to help his parents, but he is also in a difficult situation. So, I took this character as a challenge. I come from a theatre background, so I want characters whom I get to perform well.
