MUMBAI: Upcoming movie Shamshera which has Ranbir Kapoor in the leading role along with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced. This upcoming period action drama directed by Kanan Malhotra has been the talk of the town because of the never seen before look of the actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Today finally the trailer of the movie was launched during the Press Conference which was attended by the entire cast of the movie which was held in Mumbai.

Talking about the movie Shamshera, Karan Malhotra said that movies like Shamshera are the future of our Indian cinema. Initially the idea came from Aditya Chopra and later the screenplay was written by him and his wife Ekta and also his wife Ekta has suggested the title Shamshera. Talking about this Sanjay Dutt’s character, Karan Malhotra revealed that this character will make you feel different types of emotion and he is very dangerous in the movie. Also he has seen and loved the work of the actress Vani Kapoor and was looking forward to collaborating with her.

Vaani Kapoor on the other hand revealed that a movie like Shamshera definitely gives a larger than life cinematic experience which the fans have never seen, she is very excited being the part of such a big movie and she has never been a part of such a thing in the past. She has seen the work of the filmmaker Karan Malhotra and was looking forward to working with him. Also it was great to collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt whom she has been admiring and inspired from.

On the other hand Sanjay Dutt revealed that Karan Malhotra is the best guy who portrays him in negative light, earlier it was Agneepath and now this one, talking about his characters and he revealed Shuddh Singh is a clever and a dangerous cop and the fans will definitely love this never seen before character of the actor.

Ranbir Kapoor revealed that Sanjay Dutt has been his hero and his poster is in his room, earlier he had portrayed Sanjay Dutt on screen and now it was great sharing screen with him in the full movie. Sanjay Dutt has been treating him like his brother and sometimes like his son. Ranbir Kapoor is playing a double role for the first time in the movie Shamshera and he says that he will be seen playing the father and the son both in the movie.
