MUMBAI: Sagarika Ghatge came into the spotlight due to the immensely popular sports film ‘Chak De! India’. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer saw her in the role of Preeti Sabarwal, a hockey player. Fans fell in love with Sagarika and her acting chops. 

For all the fans of the actress, here’s an interesting fact. Did you know there’s one immensely popular Bollywood star who once jumped barricades to meet Sagarika? Well, for the uninitiated, that person is none other than Kartik Aaryan. Yes, you read that right!

Kartik Aaryan himself once talked about the same. Taking to his social media page, the actor had shared a throwback picture from when he met Sagarika Ghatge. Beside the picture, he wrote, "2008 Mumbai Marathon! I jumped barricades to take a pic with Preeti Sabharwal #sagarikaghatge and also told her 'Shah Rukh Khan ko mera Hi bolna' @iamsrk sir did she convey my message?"

On the work front, in addition to Chak De! India, Sagarika Ghatge also acted in the National Award-winning film Irada. Her other film projects include Rush, Fox, and Miley Naa Miley Hum to name a few. She made her digital debut with ALTBalaji's Boss – Baap of Special Services. The actress showed her adventurous side by participating in Colors TV’s Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. 

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan has worked in several films and made a strong place for himself in the Bollywood industry. He made his acting debut in 2011 with Pyaar Ka Punchnama and then went on to work in films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh.
