Happiness! These films are getting theatrical releases in the next few months

MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar’s Bellbottom is the first big Bollywood film to release theatrically in recent times. It released on August 19 except in Maharashtra. It made Rs 2.75 crore on the day of its release.

For the unversed, Bellbottom is a spy thriller set in the 80s, based on the plane hijacks that took India by storm. Akshay essayed the role of a RAW agent who helps het Indian hostages back to the country, while Lara Datta essays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi play pivotal roles in the film as well.

Now, a number of filmmakers have decided to go the theatre way. Have a look at all the major theatrical releases in the next few months.

Tadap

The debut of Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty, Tadap, which also stars Tara Sutaria will release in theatres on December 3. The film is the remake of the Telugu film RX100 and will be directed by Milan Luthria. The film is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Thalaivi

Kangana Ranaut-starrer Thalaivi, the biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha, is all set to release in theatres in September.

Don't Breathe 2

Sony Pictures will release Don't Breathe 2. The film will release in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on September 17. Don't Breathe 2 is an American horror thriller directed by Rodo Sayagues.

Spider Man: No Way Home

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Releasing have announced that their superhero flick Spider-Man: No Way Home will release in India on December 17. The film will arrive in theatres in the run-up to the Christmas weekend. The film has Tom Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker, while Zendaya will return as MJ. As per reports, No Way Home, which deals with the multiverse, will also see previous Spider-Man actors Tobey Maquire and Andrew Garfield.

Laal Singh Chaddha

The Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor-starrer will release on December 25. While the original film released in 1994, the official Hindi remake is being directed by Advait Chandan and was initially slated for release on December 25, last year. South star Naga Chaitanya will be making his Bollywood debut with Laal Singh Chaddha.

Chehre

Amitabh Bachchan's Chehre is releasing on August 27. The film has Emraan Hashmi, Annu Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty, Krystle D'Souza, and Raghubir Yadav in pivotal roles.
