MUMBAI: When we discuss love stories in Bollywood, Dilip Kumar and Madhubala’s names deserve a prominent mention. They two legends are still remembered by the audience for their 'love story'.

Dilip Kumar and Madhubala’s courtship days are known by all. Marriage was also on the cards for the two, but fate had other plans. While Madhubala went on to marry legendary singer Kishore Kumar, Dilip Kumar is happily married to Saira Banu.

In an interview, Saira Banu was asked about Dilip Kumar's equations with Madhubala and Vyjayanthimala.

Sharing if it has ever affected her, the actress said, “I never minded stories of the beautiful women associated with Dilip saab. I had placed my entire trust in him. My marriage was a dream come true for me. I had pasted his pictures in my room even before we got married. The only other person who made it to those walls was Rock Hudson.”

She added, “And let me tell you, I always, in fact, every day pray for Madhubala's soul to rest in peace; she was so young when she passed away and I feel terrible about it. Madhubala was only 36 when she succumbed to severe health issues."

About Vyjayanthimala, Saira Banu said that at one point in their lives, Dilip Kumar and the former had a “fallout” and weren’t very cordial to each other. And it was Saira Banu herself who had patched them up. She and Vyjayanthimala are in touch.
