Shuddhi's return with Salman Khan in the lead has surprised Kareena Kapoor. Kareena, in fact was the first one to state that Karan Johar had shelved Shuddhi. Now with Karan Johar himself officially announcing the project, Kareena was left a tad surprised. "I thought it was shelved but now Karan has announced it with Salman in the lead," Kareena told us when we asked her about Shuddhi. It may well be remembered that Kareena was announced as the first choice heroine of the movie along with Hrithik before the latter dropped out prompting Kareena's exit too. The actress however doesn't see herself doing Shuddhi again. Elaborating on the reason for the same, Kareena said, "I am already doing Kabir Khan's movie opposite Salman. So doing Shuddhi with Salman again...I don't know." One more reason why Kareena doesn't seem to gung ho about Shuddhi anymore is because of the absence of Hrithik in it. Opening up on why she left Shuddhi, Kareena said, "For me, Shuddhi was synonymous with Hrithik. The reason I did the film was because of Hrithik. When he decided not to do it, I too opted out." Kareena though hasn't had the time to catch the trailer of Bang Bang which currently making waves. "I haven't seen it yet but I am sure it's good. Hrithik's fantastic." While Kareena has not yet been offered Shuddhi again, it would be interesting to see which actress would be paired opposite Salman. Only KJO can throw some light on that.
