Dhadak is for masses; Delhi 47 KM is for class and mass both: Shadab Khan

Delhi 47 KM director Shadab Khan says he is not feeling any pressure about his film clashing with Dharma Productions' much awaited movie Dhadak on 20 July.

Asked if he is feeling the pressure over box office collection of his movie, Khan said, "We are not feeling any kind of pressure about Dhadak clashing with our film because both films are completely different from each other.

"Dhadak is a love story which is meant for masses. On the other hand, Delhi 47 KM is for class and mass both as the audience has matured."

He said his film is based on real and serious topic.

"I think the intellectual audience will connect with our film. We have made a good film and we are confident that it will do good business at the box office."

Delhi 47 KM was earlier scheduled to release on 6 July, but due to technical reasons, the film was pushed to hit screens on 20 July.

Khan said, "Nowadays, it is a pretty common scenario where two or three films clash with each other on the same day. Being in this industry for so long, I know that two films can release on same day.

"There are enough screens for two films to release. Both are very different films in genre, so I think both can release on the same day without hampering each other."

Priyanka’s appropriate measures post getting BMC notice

A day after actress-producer Priyanka Chopra got a notice from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for an illegal construction, her mother Madhu Chopra's spokesperson said on Wednesday the "the required appropriate measures" were being taken.

"We have received the notice from the BMC. We are coordinating with the officials and have already taken the required appropriate measures," Madhu's spokesperson said in a statement.

According to a report, Priyanka got a notice from the BMC on Tuesday for unauthorised construction in the premises of her Oshiwara office and the adjoining commercial premises rented out by her.

Sushant Singh Rajput to create a space film

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput is working on his directorial skills for a space film in which he will also act.

The film will be funded by Innsaei Ventures Pvt. Ltd - an amalgamation of Sushant's passion for emerging technologies and science and serial entrepreneur Varun Mathur's business acumen, said a statement.

"Sushant's passion for the moon and space is second to none in this sphere. He has unparalleled interest to learn more about the universe, and to delve into anything that might help him understand this phenomenon further.

"..Innsaei Ventures is quite keen on making a space film and Sushant will be working on this very soon," said Varun Mathur, Co-founder of Innsaei.

Sanjay Mishra excited about his film on water crisis

Actor Sanjay Mishra is happy to be part of a film, which touches upon the issue of water crisis in a village in Rajasthan.

The film, titled Turtle, is directed by Dinesh S. Yadav and produced by Ashok Choudhary.

"I am playing the protagonist in the film. It is fictionalisation of a true incident of water crisis in a village of Rajasthan," Sanjay said in a statement.

"I have chosen this film because I found the story very realistic. These kinds of films are very important to reflect our future so that we can create awareness on water crisis," added the actor, who had also starred in Kadvi Hawa, which deals with issues like drought and climate change.
