MUMBAI: The first thing that comes to mind when we read about the chocolate boy Kartik Aaryan is his climax scene from “Pyaar Ka Punchnama.” He is quiet in the first half and then -- boom -- he explodes with complaints about his girlfriend. Few who have seen this climax scene will ever forget it, probably because it’s something that most of us can relate to.

The chocolate boy has now transformed into a handsome hunk with “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.”  He not only won the hearts of moviegoers with his acting skill but also won something else this week. TellyChakkar readers Showted their approval of  Kartik by selecting him as the TellyChakkar Showters’ Choice Star of the Week, with 85% Yes Showts.

Close behind him, with 84% Yes Showts, was Sara Ali Khan, who stole the show from all other 2018 debutants with her roles in “Kedarnath” and “Simbba.”

Mouni Roy, who is stepping into B-Town after making a splash with her work in television series like “Devon Ke Dev Mahadev” and “Naagin,” received 75% Yes Showts.

Ishaan Khattter, who was opposite Sara Ali Khan in “Kedarnath,” received 67% Yes Showts.

Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of Sri Devi, received 61% Yes Showts.

Ankita Lokhande who made her debut as “Jhalkari Bai in Manikarna” received 60% Yes Showts, while Rohan Mehra, who will make his debut in “Baazaar,” received 54%Yes Showts.

Lastly, Aayush Sharma received only 45% Yes Showts. It seems people didn’t appreciate his role in “LoveYatri.”
