MUMBAI: Saurabh Sachdeva has carved a path for himself in the acting world. 

He has been a part of many projects. He is best known for his character in Sacred Games. He has featured in popular Bollywood films like Manmarziyaan, Housefull 4, and more. Most recently, the actor was seen in Raat Baaki Hai, which released on an OTT platform. He was a part of the digital movie with Rahul Dev, Paoli Dam and Anup Sonii. But did you know Saurabh Sachdeva is a famous acting coach too?

Well, the actor, who worked as an acting coach at Barry John Acting Studio for more than 10 years, has trained Bollywood actors like Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Harshvardhan Rane, Kubbra Sait, Tripti Dimri, Richa Chadha, among others. 

Recently, in a conversation with Times Now Digital, Saurabh reflected upon his journey as an actor and acting coach. Talking about his first attempt at acting, the actor said, "As an actor, it (my journey) begin in 2001. I never thought of being an actor but bychance I got into it, as an actor because I immediately wanted to have lot of money and fame. But in a few days only I realised that is not what I want because I am dyslexic. Meri schooling bohot acchi tareeke se nahi hoti thi (My schooling wasn't good). I couldn't express myself fully. So when I joined Barry John (acting studio), I started expressing myself better physically, in movement classes aur baat ke usme (sic). So I gained a lot of confidence due to it." 

He added, "And in 2002, starting mein, Barry sir asked me would you like to become a teacher? So I said no,  mujhe darr lagta hai (I am scared). Becoming a teacher is big responsibility. Aur mere khudke teachers ke liye meri itni acchi respect nahi thi because mereko unhone school mein utne acche tarike se dhyaan nahi diya. So I got scared. But some of my colleagues, (like) Shalini Vatsa, told me if Barry is asking you then maybe he must have seen something in you. So I joined for two days. I thought I will try for two days, agar mujhe accha lagega toh I will do." Later, Saurabh felt extremely good that he continues to be an acting coach to date. He said he has completed almost 20 years as a teacher and he enjoys it a lot.
