MUMBAI: South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been wowing audiences for a long time now. She even surprised fans when they saw a glimpse of her in the trailer of upcoming film Yashodha. She had shared about being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Myositis, around the same time as when the trailer of the movie had been released. Now recently, in an interview, she opened up about her health and shared that the media is exaggerating her condition. She clarified that her condition is not at an extreme stage and hoped that the media would understand that.

Samantha took to Instagram on Monday and shared a post, in which she shared that she was getting ready to promote her upcoming film, Yashoda. A clip from her promotional interview has shown up on social media. We can see her turning emotional as he spoke about how she dealt with her health condition.

Samantha said, “As I said in my post (Instagram), some days are good, some are bad. Some days, I’ve felt even taking one more step would be difficult. But when I look back, I wonder I’ve gone through so much and have come this far. I’m here to fight.”

Samantha also clarified that she’s not at a stage of her condition where her life is at stake. She said, “I want to clear one thing. I saw a lot of articles describing my condition as life-threatening. The stage I’m in, it’s not life-threatening. At the moment, I’m not dead yet. I don’t think those headlines were very necessary.”

In her upcoming film, Yashoda, Samantha is playing a surrogate mother who will go to any length to protect her child. The trailer of the film was recently released and it seems certain that this film will be a thriller that will leave you extremely excited and it will definitely showcase Samantha’s action skills. A brief scene shows her fighting some guards with just a baton as her weapon.

Other than Samantha, the film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma, and others.
