The Pancholis have decided to take the late Jiah Khan's mother Rabiya head on for her alleged defamatory tweets against the former's son Suraj, who is an accused in the case. On Friday, the Bombay High Court admitted a Rs 100-crore defamation suit filed by Suraj Pancholi's parents against Rabiya Khan, for her alleged libelous tweets. The suit was filed by Aditya Pancholi, his wife Zarina Wahab and daughter Sana, after Rabiya "failed to desist" from making her allegations despite legal notice. The advocate representing the Pancholis said that Rabiya made defamatory, slanderous and abusive statements on her Twitter account against the entire Pancholi family in April. The suit mentions 18 tweets that the Pancholis say have lowered their reputation in society and caused shock in the film industry, with which they are associated. The court was told that Zarina has a Filmfare award to her credit. The Twitter account the family has complained against is @Rabyak, which has a following of over 5,700 people. The suit said the tweets are publicized and read by third parties, establishing defamation. Actress Jiah Khan was found dead in her Juhu apartment on 3 June, 2013. Cops had arrested Suraj on charges of abetting her suicide. The case took a different turn when Rabiya alleged that her daughter was murdered.
