In the upcoming episode, Bollywood actor Rahul Dev will share some really heart- warming stories from his life. Rahul spoke about how he had settled down very early in his life, marrying his childhood sweetheart Reena at the age of 24. The couple even had a child, Sidhant and all was well until, Reena passed away in 2009 owing to cancer.

Post that, Rahul Dev revealed how he took a break for more than 4 years to give time to his son. He wanted to parent his 11-year-old, at that time, in the best way possible. But the actor had a tough time being a single parent to a teen son. He candidly described the struggles of parenthood in a conversation with Kannan,“Before my wife’s death, I did not spend much time with my son as I was busy shooting throughout the year and I regret not giving my child the time and care he deserved. So, after Reena passed away, I had to take a break. I moved back to Delhi and I devoted more than 4 years to my child as I felt I needed to spend time with him. I gave all my energy and time to raise my kid. In fact, I did not know a lot of things about parenting and I had to look after a teenager, so it was tough. But the break was totally worth it.”

Talking about Sidhant, Rahul added, “He’s grown up to be a wonderful young man and we both love and respect each other a lot. While we love spending time with each other, with him growing up, I respect his need for space as well.”

The actor’s honest confession about his struggles of being a single parent was truly heart wrenching and we are sure everyone will relate with him.
