MUMBAI:    Brahmastra Part One: Shiva released on 9th September 2022 with much fanfare and heavy promotions. And the film didn’t disappoint as it raked in the big bucks for director Ayan Mukerji and the star cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan were praised for their individual characters and portrayals.

The film also had cameo appearances by none other than Shahrukh Khan and south star Nagarjuna, which took fans by surprise. Talking about why he chose the actors to have cameo roles, the director stated, “Brahmāstra was an ambitious project from the start. And I felt that each of these characters represented something very unique. In a way, they represent little worlds in the larger world of Brahmāstra. And that required certain gravitas and weight. Which led us to approach some of the best actors and talent in the country. We were very lucky that everyone accepted and supported this ambition. I am truly grateful to them for all their support. And for saying yes!”

Brahmastra is releasing on the OTT platform Disney + Hotstar 4th November onwards. Expressing his excitement Ayan said, “We have continued to work on the movie since its theatrical release to refine the movie technically for your phones, televisions and computers… added a few subtle things to the movie… and I am excited for Brahmāstra to be in your homes soon so it can be experienced afresh in the most convenient manner!!!”

Ranbir will next be seen in Animal while Alia has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
