MUMBAI: We all know that Akshay Kumar is deeply saddened after the demise of her mom Aruna Bhatia. Aruna Bhatia was in a critical condition and was admitted to Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital where she breathed her last.The death of the actor's mother occurred just one day before his 54th birthday. 

While several celebrities expressed their condolences to his family over social media. A number of celebrities, including Riteish Deshmukh and Rohit Shetty, had also paid their tributes at the cremation.

Actress Shilpa Shetty also paid a visit to the actor and his family at their home. Earlier, the actress kickstarted the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations without Raj Kundra.

ET times reported that the actress,who has previously dated Akshay, was dressed in white and sported big spectacles. She was seen outside Akshay Kumar's house after the celebrations.

It was also reported that Akshay visited filmmaker Aanand L Rai's mother's funeral after doing the last rites of his mother. Filmmaker Rai and the actor have finished shooting, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan starrer Atrangi Re, and are currently working on Raksha Bandhan.
