She recently took to Instagram to reveal a "secret" about her daily routine. Taking to the social media site, she captioned a post where she can be seen in a cross-legged meditative pose as "Daily meditaion is my secret."

In an interview she had given way back in 2019, Parineeti had opened up about the bad phase in her life when she did not have money, stopped eating and kept on falling ill. In an interview on the talk show, Tapecast, Parineeti had spoken about the years 2014 and 2015 which she dubbed "the worst time" of her life. The actress had said two of her films -- Daawat-e-Ishq and Kill Dill performed poorly at the box office which was her first setback.

"Suddenly I didn’t have money. I had bought a house and done big investments. Then I went through a big heartbreak in my life. Literally all departments in my life were down and I had nothing positive to look forward to," she revealed, adding that she retreated into a shell following the ordeal.

“I stopped eating, sleeping well, didn’t have any friends at that time. I never met people. I cut off touch with everyone including my family. I would talk to them once in two weeks. I was gone. I just used to be in my room, watching TV, sleeping, getting up, staring all day. I was a zombie. I was typical filmy depressed girl. I would curl up on my sofa and sleep, falling ill all the time. I didn’t meet the media for almost six months," Parineeti further revealed.

The actress, however, revealed that she had some lifelines she relied upon, including her bother Sahej who she spoke to every single day. Another person the actress said helped her out was Sanjana, with whom she spoke a lot that year and became closer to as well. Revealing that she would cry almost 10 times a day, she added, "I was always crying and upset. I had chest pain that would not go out of my body. I’ve never felt actual clinical depression. It happened in that year, but started getting better towards the starting of 2016. I started feeling better, working on myself, became fitter, signed Golmaal (4), (Meri Pyari) Bindu and I moved into a new house."

She later revealed that a phase of her life was extremely depressing when her two films didn't perform well in the theatres. But she took a hold of herself and tried to turn around things for herself. (Also Read: Parineeti Chopra: I didn't want to act like Saina, I wanted to be Saina)
