MUMBAI: Saiyami Kher has been roped in an upcoming action-drama Wild Dog in which Akkineni Nagarjuna is playing the lead role and will be seen playing the role of NIA officer.

Saiyami Kher, who made her film debut with Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s Mirzya will be seen essaying the role of a RAW agent in Wild Dog which is being helmed by Solomon.

Nagarjuna starrer Wild Dog, which is directed by Solomon is said to be inspired by true events. Saiyami Kher is the latest edition of this upcoming film Wild Dog and the actress has been taking training for the same in Mumbai for quite some time. She is expected to join the sets of Nagarjuna starrer from the next schedule.

The first look poster of the film Wild Dog featured a newspaper clipping with the headline, "Encounter in the city: 6 dead police or wild dog?'

Saiyami Kher recently interacted with media and talked about her role, she said, 'I’m extremely happy to be a part of this prestigious project Wild Dog. I am very excited about this film which has Nagarjuna in the lead role. I have always wanted to act in an action drama because it’s a genre I love watching. I have been doing MMA training.'

The sources say that Saiyami Kher is playing a RAW agent in Nagarjuna starrer and She will be seen performing high voltage action sequences in Wild Dog. Shaneil Deo is handling the cinematography whereas Kiran Kumar is penning the dialogues of Wild Dog.

Dia Mirza is already on the board to play the female lead and she will be seen essaying Nagarjuna’s wife in this action drama. The 38-year-old Hyderabad born beauty was last seen as Sanjay Dutt’s wife in the latter’s biopic Sanju.

On the other side, Nagarjuna was last seen in Manmadhudu 2, which was a flop at the box office.
