'Salman Khan was as handsome even as a kid but very shy while Arbaaz was...': Javed Akhtar at Angry Young Men launch

MUMBAI: Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar were once a powerful and creative writer duo and have contributed in movies like Andaz (debut), Haathi Mere Saathi, Seeta Aur Geeta, Zanjeer, Sholay, Deewaar, Don, Trishul, Kaala Patthar, Dostana, Mr. India and many more.

Now, Amazon Prime is bringing to us a docuseries that will explore the journey of this creative duo. The docuseries is titled ‘Angry Young Men’ and the Amazon Prime series will release on 20th August. It is a three-part series produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel (own by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani) and Tiger Baby Films (by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti). The series is directed by Namrata Rao who is known as editor for movies like Ishqiya, Band Baaja Baaraat, Kahaani and many more.

At the trailer launch event of the series, Jaaved Akhtar made a surprising and cute revelation about Salman Khan which is sure to excite you.

Jaaved Akhtar said, “Ye jo abhi itne handsome lag rahe hai who koi abhi ki baat nahi hai ye bachpan se hi khubsurat hai. He was an exceptionally good looking child. Ek black and white tasweer hai aapke living room (talking to Salim Khan) choti si frame main, Salman ki. Hai kho gayi pata nahi. For ye baaki bacche toh mere saamne paida hue hai. Acha kamaal kya hai? Salman, today he is the hero, dashing hero, ek intihaye shy, bohot hi kam bolne wale, bohot chup-chaap rehne wala baccha tha.”
