MUMBAI: Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are thought to be two halves of a whole heart. The two share a beautiful relationship and have an adorable family with their son Viaan Raj Kundra and daughter Samisha Shetty Kundra. While their story appears to be a real-life fairytale, it did have its own dark side. Before Raj met Shilpa, he was married to Kavita Kundra.

The two lived in the United Kingdom with Raj's family and had a daughter together, Deleena Kundra. However, the couple split up later and Raj moved on to marry Shilpa Shetty. After the marriage, Kavita gave interviews in which she accused Shilpa of being a 'homewrecker and claimed that she ruined her marriage'.

For 12 years, Raj maintained his silence on the issue, but recently, when Kavita's old video resurfaced he decided to clear the air on the year. He claimed that Kavita actually had a relationship with Raj's sister's husband Vansh when they lived in the UK.

In an interview, he shared, "My mother caught my ex-wife and sister’s husband red-handed, in compromising situations many times. Two families were spoiled here; they didn’t think twice"

Raj also spoke about his relationship with his daughter who is currently living with his ex-wife. He said, "I have never spoken to Kavita and I never want to. I tried reaching out to my daughter via her family members but they couldn't get me access or straight answers. I know she will come and find me when the time is right. I only saw her for her first 40 days and then I moved to India after my marriage to Shilpa. Kavita didn’t want me near my child. Courts also favoured the mother at that age."

In an old interview in 2007, Kavita Kundra said, "I look at the pictures of them together and think, she's with my husband, she's living my life. While I was trying to put our marriage back together, he was talking constantly about Shilpa, as if it didn't matter what happened to us because he had found someone better, cleverer and more famous than me."

Kavita Kundra is the daughter of a UK-based businessman and she tied the knot with Raj Kundra in 2003. After three years, the two parted ways in 2006. Raj and Shilpa got married in 2009 and the businessman moved to India and settled down in Mumbai.
