MUMBAI: A few days ago, it was announced that Anurag Basu is all set to direct a sequel to Life In a Metro which is titled Metro In Dino. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. 

Well, the shooting of the film started today, and Anupam Kher took to Twitter to inform everyone about it. It is his 533rd movie, and Kher has shared a video in which he is talking to Anurag Basu about why they haven’t worked with each other before this. But, Basu reveals that they had worked together on a half movie which didn’t get completed.

Kher tweeted, “प्रस्तुत है मेरी 533वीं फ़िल्म #मेट्रोइनदिनों। आज हमारा पहला दिन है। हमें प्यार और शुभकामनाएँ भेजिये! Starting my 533rd film #MetroInDino with one & only @basuanurag . Today is the first day of the shoot of the film. A great beginning to the end of the year. जय हो!”

Life in a Metro is one of the best films of Anurag Basu. It revolved around different people who stayed in Mumbai and how their stories were connected. The film starred Shilpa Shetty, Shiny Ahuja, Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sensharma, Sharman Joshi, and Kangana Ranaut. 

Only Konkona Sensharma from the first part will be a part of Metro In Dino. So, let’s see if there will be a connection between the two films or Konkona will be playing a completely different character.
