According to a report in ANI, dismissing the petition of the law student seeking CBI or NIA probe into the actor's case, the Chief Justice of India said, “Who are you? You are a total stranger unnecessarily interfering in the case. Victim's father is pursuing the case. We are dismissing your petition.”
Following an FIR filed by Sushant’s father KK Singh in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty, Bihar police had started a parallel investigation on the case. However, between Mumbai and Bihar police’s cold war for jurisdiction in the case, the case was transferred to CBI on Bihar Government’s request to the centre.
The CBI has now started the registration of the case and will soon be taking information and help of both Bihar and Mumbai police in the case.
