MUMBAI: The SSR case is one of the most high-profile cases of the nation with the topmost agencies investigating it. 

Rhea who is the accused number one in the case was arrested along with her brother Showik by the NCB under the NDPS act, after the actor agreed to have consumed and procured drugs. 

As per Times Now, Rhea's judicial custody was extended till October 6, and the Bombay High Court heard their bail plea today. However, the hearing has been adjourned and will next happen on September 29. 

The Bombay High Court has adjourned the hearing for September 29 and until then, Rhea is expected to be lodged in Byculla Jail. Her brother Showik has been lodged in Taloja jail. Apart from them, late Sushant Singh Rajput's staff members like Samuel Miranda, Deepesh Sawant and others were also arrested.

In Rhea’s defence her lawyer said that NCB doesn’t have a judication to arrest or investigate the case as this drug cartel case is not connected with the SSR case. 

Rhea’s bail application reads that SSR used to consume drugs and he used her, Showik and the staff members to facilitate his own drug habit while ensuring that he did not leave a paper trail of his own in the form of any electronic evidence whatsoever. 

Well, the investigation is on and more and more names are expected to stem up from the closet.
