MUMBAI : The Supreme Court reserved its verdict in Rhea Chakraborty’s plea seeking transfer of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case from Bihar to Mumbai. Actress Rhea Chakraborty, the late actor’s girlfriend filed the petition after his father KK Singh lodged an FIR against her and five others in Patna. After hearing the arguments made by all the parties related to the case, the Supreme Court reserved its order and asked all parties to file a response by Thursday. Now, after the hearing, the late actor’s family lawyer, Vikas Singh gives his first response and said he is confident that the probe will go to the CBI.

Speaking with the media, Senior Advocate Vikas Singh in his first response after the hearing said, "Extensive arguments were addressed. As far as the complainant's (KK Singh) case is concerned, the politicization of this issue was strongly and vehemently opposed." He then added how the complainant i.e Sushant’s father KK Singh is only seeking justice for avenging the death of his son and continued to explain further how the probe might go to the CBI.

He continued, “The complainant is only seeking justice for avenging the death of his son. He lost his son. So, the consequences of losing a son are in Patna. The consequences of criminal breach of trust are in Patna. So, I am sure, the matter will go to CBI. This judgment may probably become a path-breaking order on the issue of registration of FIR in this country." Sushant’s family lawyer mentioned how the judgement of the Supreme Court might be path-breaking in terms of future registrations of FIR in regards to where the crime has risen or where the consequences of a crime ensue

Vikas Singh finally concluded saying, “We have been responsible and haven't jumped to judgments in our complaint. How is the election issue important in this case? It was only an excuse to gain sympathy in the court. Hoping this investigation will be taken to its logical conclusion.”

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead, hanging, in his Mumbai residence. The actor allegedly died by suicide and no note was found, as per reports. Sushant Singh Rajput’s father lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and five others accusing them of abetment of suicide. It was then that the Jalebi actress filed the petition seeking transfer of the case, later leaving the family filed a caveat in the court of law.
