MUMBAI: Sushant Singh Rajput started his career with television serials. His debut show was Star Plus's romantic drama Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), followed by an award-winning performance in Zee TV's popular soap opera Pavitra Rishta (2009–11). The actor made his film debut in Kai Po Che! (2013), for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He then starred in the romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) and as the titular detective in the action thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015). His highest-grossing releases came with a supporting role in the satire PK (2014), followed by the titular role in the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). For his performance in the latter, he received his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Sushant went on to star in the commercially successful films Kedarnath (2018) and Chhichhore (2019). Apart from acting, he was actively involved in various programmes like Sushant4Education, as a part of efforts to help young students. In a shocking turn of events, he commited suicide day at his home in Bandra, Mumbai.

The actor who taught us how to fight all the problems in life and keep moving ahead in spite of failure with his movie Chhichhore will be missed by his family, friends, and fans.

Now, there is a war on social media against nepotism and against Bollywood biggies who did not support the actor when he needed it the most.

SSR made his theatre debut in 2007 in a play titled Pukar, which was directed by none other than the talented Juhi Babbar.

Have a look.

Infact he was spotted by a Balaji casting person while he was handling the tickets at the box office counter for one of the plays. TV aur filmstar banney ke baad bhi apne theatre ke dino ke doston se juda raha. Aur mere toh ek call par hamesha, behad busy hone ke baavajood, #Ekjutetheatregroup ke shows aur events par pohoch jaata tha. Mujhe Didi bulaata tha..& hamesha bohot pyaar se kehta tha 'didi u were my first director' Sushant tumhe dekh kar hamesha kitni khushi hoti thi....yeh kya kiya mere bhai? Aur kyun kiya????????"

Sushant Singh Rajput's forthcoming movie Dil Bechara, which also has Saif Ali Khan, was supposed to be released on 8th May but was postponed because of the lockdown. It may directly be released online.
