These celebrities have spoken about losing huge amounts of money

MUMBAI: Earning money is not easy for anyone. It takes years of sweat and hard work to make it big, even for stars. However, once they have reached success, it is equally difficult for some to sustain their success for long.

There have been stars who have lost it all through bad luck. And while some of them have climbed the ladder back, others have not.

Here's looking at a list of celebs who have spoken about losing huge amounts of money.

Amitabh Bachchan
The veteran actor has gone on record to say that when the world was celebrating a new century in 2000, he was 'celebrating' his disastrous fortune without any films, money or company. The actor, however, made a huge comeback with KBC.

Raj Kapoor
The legendary Raj Kapoor too faced acute financial hardships after he was not able to create magic on the silver screen with his film Mera Naam Joker. Interestingly, the film later went on to become a cult classic and is often considered to be one of Raj Kapoor's best films.

Shah Rukh Khan
Even King Khan has had his run of bad luck. The actor had made Ra.One in order to make his children happy and fulfil their dreams. However, the investment was a huge failure getting him bankrupt. He later went on to admit that making a movie like that was a big mistake.

Shweta Prasad
The actress is believed to have become involved with a prostitution racket after not being able to save herself from bankruptcy. The National Award-winning actress had said that all doors were closed for her.

Govinda
The actor had in an interaction said that in the last 14 to 15 years, he had invested money and lost around Rs 16 crore in the industry. His films did not get to the theatres and the actor felt they were people who wanted to demolish his career.
