MUMBAI: Paresh Rawal is one of the finest actors we have in Bollywood. Over time, he has delivered some of the finest performances in the industry. His movies have repeat value, and the actor defines versatility with his different roles.

Having said that, did you know that he tried to fill the late Kader Khan’s shoes twice but failed miserably? Yes, you heard it right. Paresh Rawal attemped to do justice to the late Kader Khan’s roles in remake movies. Initially, he was seen in Kader Khan’s role in the rehashed version of Himmatwala 1983. The original movie had Jeetendra, Sridevi, and Kader Khan. Kader Khan portrayed the role of Munim Narayandas Gopaldas and was loved by fans. The movie too was a massive hit at the box office. The rehashed version of this blockbuster movie, which released in the 2013, was directed by Sajid Khan and featured Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah in the lead roles. Paresh Rawal (in Kader Khan’s role) failed to impressed the fans, and the movie too was a box-office failure.

The second time Paresh Rawal was seen in Kader Khan’s role was in Coolie No.1 (2020), a remake of the 1995 movie with the same title, which had Govinda, Karisma Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, and Kader Khan. Kader Khan’s character of Hoshiyar Chand Choudhary is one of the most loved characters of all time, but in this new version of the movie, Paresh Rawal did not do justice to the role.
