MUMBAI : Simi Garewal has hosted 5 successful seasons of Rendezvous which was her popular chat show from the late the 90s and early 2000s, had bumped into another chat show host, Karan Johar many years back.

Both Simi and Karan were present at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in Australia albeit in different capacities. While KJowas present to host a masterclass on 'How to direct a big Bollywood dream,' the veteran actress was invited to host the awards ceremony that took place towards the end.

After the festival was over, Simi heard that Karan had spoken to IFFM's festival director about wanting to host the awards in 2018. The actress was quite pissed with Karan.

She expressed her disappointment through a tweet:

We all know that Karan's chat show, Koffee with Karan, became more popular than Rendezvous and it seems that Simi is still bitter about what she herself termed as a 'takeover.'

Many thought that Simi took a friendly jibe but it turns out there was more to it.

Simi proceeded to RT multiple comments by her followers, who praised her hosting style over Johar's cheapness.

Its been a long time this incident happened and we don't know if they have buried their hatchet or not.
