MUMBAI: Kangana Ranaut recently said that for the first time in her life she has not been able to pay half of her last year’s tax because of no work, actress who claims to be highest tax paying actress, took to her Instagram handle and shared a report of the govt’s Each One Pay One policy and wrote, “Even though I come under highest tax slab pay almost 45 percent of my income as tax, even though I am the highest tax paying actress but because of no work haven’t paid half of my last year’s tax yet.”

She further added, “first time in my life I am late in paying tax but the government is charging me interest on that pending tax money," adding, "still I welcome this move, time could be tough for us individually but together we are tougher than the time."

On Tuesday, Kangana who is now returned to Mumbai after a short stay in her hometown Manali, was snapped visiting her office which was last year partially demolished by the BMC officials based on the claims that the construction was built on the illegal property.

Earlier, the actress had tested positive for COVID-19 and said, “I was feeling tired and weak with slight burning sensation in my eyes for past few days, was hoping to go to Himachal so got my test done yesterday and today the result came I am covid positive. I have quarantined myself, I had no idea this virus is having a party in my body, now that I know I will demolish it, people please don’t give anything any power over you, if you are scared it will scare you more, come let’s destroy this Covid -19 it is nothing but a small time flu which got too much press and now psyching few people. Har Har Mahadev."

On the work front, Kangana has multiple films in her kitty, including J.Jayalalithaa’s biopic, ‘Dhakaad’ and ‘Tejas’. She also announced an untitled political drama and ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda.’
