In chat show with actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, actress Malaika Arora revealed about this incident, and said it better for both the partners to part ways if you are not happy in a relation, and also good for the upbringing of the children.

On 28 March 2016, the couple announced separation citing compatibility issues. The couple officially got divorced on 11 May 2017. Together they have a son, Arhaan Khan, born on 9 November 2002.
