MUMBAI: 18th November 2022 surely became one of the luckiest days for the Bollywood industry as Drishyam 2 was released in theatres. The film took a bumper opening at the box office, and then there was no looking back.

Drishyam 2 in its second week did much better than the new release Bhediya. Later, it crushed An Action Hero, and last Friday, the Ajay Devgn starrer did much better than Kajol starrer Salaam Venky. The film has been ruling in its fourth week also, and when it comes to Bollywood, it doesn’t have a big competition till Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus releases.

But, this week, there’s a Hollywood biggie like Avatar: The Way of Water that is going to hit the big screens. The advance booking of Avatar 2 is excellent, and it is expected to take a fantastic opening in India. So, it will be interesting to see whether Avatar: The Way of Water will finally stop the Drishyam 2 storm at the box office or not. 

Drishyam 2 now, in a day, has not collected less than Rs. 1 crore at the box office. So, it will be interesting to see if after the release of Avatar: The Way of Water, the film will collect in lakhs or if it will still continue to be in crores. Let’s wait and watch.

Apart from Ajay Devgn, Drishyam 2 also stars Shriya Saran, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles. The film received positive reviews, and now, moviegoers are waiting for Drishyam 3.
