MUMBAI: Recently Rajpal Yadav’s first look from the movie Ardh was revealed. In the poster, Rajpal Yadav was seen as a transgender traveling in the local train of Mumbai. Well, this is not the first time an actor has played transgender on screen. There are many Bollywood actors like Akshay Kumar, Ashutosh Rana, and Mahesh Manjrekar who have played transgender character in their films. Having said that, today let us see some of these transgender characters played by Bollywood actors.

Akshay Kumar

Ashutosh Rana

Talking about transgender roles, how can we forget Ashutosh Rana’s superlative performance in the film Sangharsh? Till today he is known for playing a transgender in which he kidnaps children and scarifies them. 

Sadashiv Amrapurkar

Another actor whose character as a transgender is still remembered by everyone is Sadashiv Amrapurkar. He played the character of Maharani in Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt starrer film Sadak. His performance in the film is still loved by the audiences and the film critics.

Paresh Rawal
