Speaking with a renowned news portal, Varun said, “Recently, I just shut down. I didn’t know what had happened to me. I had this thing called vestibular hypofunction, (where) basically your balance goes off. But I just pushed myself so hard. We are just running in this race, nobody is asking why. I think there is a greater purpose (why) we are all here. I am trying to find mine, and hopefully, people will find theirs.”
Recently, actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu had also shared about being diagnosed with Myositis, in a post for her fans. She had said, “A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon.”
According to reports, both actors are working on the Indian satellite series of Prime Video's Citadel, which is being directed by Raj and DK and will be produced by the renowned Russo Brothers. Priyanka Chopra stars as one of the leads in the mothership series. Varun is also set to star in the horror comedy Bhediya.
