Nupur Alankar who plays Damayanti in Sony's Jeet Jayenge Hum has turned make-up artist for the show. The way she has been turning out has impressed every one of the sets; she has been receiving a lot of appreciation for her efforts.

She is currently being tortured by Yadav, the evil glass factory owner as her children have escaped from the village and her husband is in jail. She is an asthma patient who is working day and night in the glass factory emitting harm full gases and is being starved by Yadav since days.

Nupur is required to look very pale, weak and exhausted for the track and her make-up man tried everything possible to give her the poor woman's look. But producer Benaiffer Kohli was not very happy with the make-up. Nupur took the matter into her own hands and asked a spot boy to bring a bunch of coriander leaves and sandal wood powder.

During the break she and her make-up artist squeezed out juice from the green leaves and Nupur applied it all over her body. She then used sandal wood powder on her hair and on the body which gave her the perfect look the role demanded.

Nupur says, "Everyone was very impressed with my inputs and the scenes look very authentic after my make-up. I had to bear with my make-up but I am happy with the results. I am looking very poor, hungry and tortured and that's exactly what the role demanded."
