"People are liking Seven, but the ratings don't show that!"

Yash Raj Films's TV shows may not have created a dent into the ratings but that hasn't stopped actors working for the production house from beaming. Take Himmanshoo Malhotra for example. He is very happy playing Harianksh Vashisht in Seven. "Working under Yash Raj banner is a delight. The way they treat actors is exemplary. Initially they had auditioned me for Shloka's role but they later thought I will suit Harianksh better," he says.

Though the show has not been very successful, Malhotra feels they are putting in a lot of effort and spend eight to 10 days shooting a single episode.

"We have been shooting at various places in India- from Delhi to Nalanda to Rishikesh. We have also been doing all kind of stunts; under stunt directors Firoz and Parvez who are assistants to action director Allan Amin," he says, whose character is of a typical Mumbai tapori.

Ironically for Malhotra, his reel life character is opposite to what he is in real life. "But it's still a lot of fun."

Everything seems to be good but why haven't the viewers warmed up to it? "We know the TRPs are not good, but frankly we do not know why.

Whoever I have met and discussed the show with, have praised it. The response from people around me has also been very positive. In fact, almost everyone has said that the show looks more like a film. But somehow the TRPs do not reflect it," he says, obviously disappointed.

"However, this should not stop us from making good shows like Seven." On the personal front, Himmanshoo is dating actress Amruta Khanvilkar. They met during Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj and it's been six years of steady friendship.
