We had huge expectations from this musical sequel because it was taking forward the rich legacy of Bollywood’s first bonafide rock hit- Rock On.

The teaser gives us a glimpse of the plot, which seems to showcase an underdog’s success in the field of music.

Shraddha Kapoor, the new entrant in the all-boys band, tries her best to sound like a rock star-in-the-making. We are sure that when we hear her full-fledged version, we would have more to comment on her singing skills.

The retouching of the old favorite aka Rock On’s title song sounds nice, even though we were expecting another ‘Magik’al number from Shankar Ehsaan and Loy’s kitty.

We understand that it’s difficult to surpass the plot of the first instalment and it’s quite a monumental task to make a winning follow-up saga, but we did hope that this musical would prove us wrong. Let’s hope that the trailer does that for us!

We are also slightly disappointment that Arjun Rampal is not prominently featured in the teaser…as he was one of the best parts of the original flick. However, we are glad that Prachi Desai has a small, yet significant role in this franchise.

Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, the movie stars Farhan Akhtar as Aditya Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor as Jiah Sharma, Arjun Rampal as Joseph Mascarenhas, Prachi Desai as Sakshi Shroff, Shahana Goswami as Debbie Mascarenhas, Purab Kohli as KD, and newbie Shashank Arora as Uday.

It's set to hit the screens on November 11, 2016.
