Kiss has come a long way in Bollywood. Gone are the days when two tulips meeting or bonfire blazing denoted kissing in Hindi films. Today everything is raw, real and in-your-face. There is no room for inhibitions ever since Mallika Sherawat smooched her way to glory a decade back with Murder. We take a look at the 10 kisses that grabbed news this year

Surveen Chawla & Jay Bhanushali (Hate Story 2) - The sexy Surveen unleashed her bold side with a lot of panache as she wildly smooched her co-star Jay Bhanushali like there is no tomorrow. The wild kissing sequences remained the talking point of this otherwise average movie. Surveen's kisses however couldn't save the day as the movie sank without a trace. Surveen later appeared in a special promotional video of Creature 3D where she smooched Rajneeish Duggal with great alacrity. 

Hrithik Roshan & Katrina Kaif (Bang Bang) - Greek God Hrithik and sensuous Katrina sizzled in this action flick which was an official remake of Knight and Day. The movie didn't really please cinegoers much due to its weak script but Hrithik and Katrina whipped up some scintillating onscreen chemistry. Hrithik also achieved the unique distinction of becoming the first actor to smooch Katrina twice. (The man has even smooched Aishwarya Rai!) In the movie, Kat and Hrithik locked lips three times, gently, passionately and slowly. Ranbir sure must have gone green with envy. 

Kangana Ranaut & Marco Canada (Queen) - Oh! how we love those unexpected, seemingly awkward first kiss of our life which slowly turns into a pleasurable sojourn. And if the man you are kissing happens to be an Italian stallion, it's what one would term in Hindi as 'Sone pe Suhaga'. A conservative Kangana in Queen broke all taboo barriers by enjoying her first smooch with a foreigner who she was fatally attracted to. And the audience of course applauded.  Who says only boys can have all the fun!

Kangana Ranaut & Vir Das (Revolver Rani) - Kangana in Revolver Rani was a far cry from her demure avatar Queen. As a gun wielding femme fatale, she was bold and brazen in her approach. And the same yardstick applied even in bed. Kangana dominated Vir by sticking her mouth into his leaving the poor man breathless by the end of the kiss. 

Alia Bhatt & Arjun Kapoor (2 States) - Alia Bhatt and her 'n' number of smooching sequences with Arjun earned her the moniker, 'Kissing Queen'. Some even started calling her the female Emraan Hashmi. Alia however couldn't care less because for her it was business as usual. The script demanded she kiss Arjun and the actress did it without much fuss. Box-office of course loved it and the movie made amazing moolah

Varun Dhawan & Alia Bhatt (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya) - This kiss is the kind that would make you go awwww! The kind of kiss you would like to indulge in when you are locked in your car with your lady love. Varun tilted his head, Alia followed and then magic happened. Their lip-lock looked near perfect. 

Sonam Kapoor & Ayushmann Khurrana (Bewakoofiyan) - Sonam decided to lose her inhibitions for this movie. She donned a bikini, drenched herself in the pool and tried smooching her way to success but in vain. The movie tanked at the box-office. The kiss too looked lackluster. 

Tanuj Virwani & Izabelle Leite (Purani Jeans) - The movie made news only for the kiss that the lead pair shared. And it sure was quite a good one, we have to say. Rati Agnihotri's son scored an eight on ten when he smooched Virat's ex-girlfriend in his debut movie. 

Sidharth Malhotra & Shraddha Kapoor (Ek Villain) - Not exactly a firecracker of a kiss but Sidharth and Shraddha did have a slight moment going for them when they locked their respective lips in this crime thriller. Shraddha's rumoured beau Aditya was believed to have grown jealous after seeing this one. 

Harman Baweja & Ayesha Khanna (Dishkiyaoo) - A naked man and a naked woman making out in shower should have send sensuous chills running down your spine. Unfortunately, Harman Baweja and newcomer Ayesha Khanna couldn't exactly scorch the screen with their intimacy. May be a sultry siren Bipasha Basu could have brought out the desired effect. Alas! both aren't even together anymore.
