Biggest Flops of 2014

2014 witnessed more flops than hits. A dismal year for Bollywood. The monies and names were big, but alas, poor script and acting, kept movie lovers away from theaters. Let’s check out some of the biggest pits of 2014.

Humshakals

With Humshakals, Sajid Khan proved that his penchant for making downright garbage like Himmatwala was not an aberration. Humshakals proved to be an even greater disaster than Himmatwala. The utterly illogical plot, the nonsensical acting by three well-known stars and Sajid Khan's direction made Humshakals an unbearable watch. Lead actor Saif later admitted that doing Humshakals was a mistake.

Jai Ho

Sallu bhai thought it's time to preach but unfortunately the junta was certainly not impressed. Even the usual Salman fans were a wee bit disappointed seeing their matinee idol preaching instead of entertaining. Amazingly, the movie made more than 100 crores yet was called a flop.

Bobby Jasoos

Vidya Balan's women centric avatar as a private sleuth failed to cut any ice with audience. Missing was the usual Vidya zing and chutzpah which was so evident in The Dirty Picture. Ofcourse, the subject was different here but the absence of a riveting plot failed to stir up any interest. Her romance with a much younger Ali Fazal too didn't excite viewers.

Bang Bang

Two of the hottest stars of Bollywood romancing each other in a movie and you would think it's a surefire hit. Alas! Hrithik and Katrina failed to recreate their Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in this over hyped action flick remake of Knight and Day that would have certainly made Tom Cruise cringe.

Ungli

Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Kangana Ranaut. These names are enough to believe that the movie will be worth watching. Sadly, this one turned out to be a real dud. Even the middle finger symbolism failed to create any waves.

Revolver Rani

Kangana ruled the first half if the year with a marvellous performance in Queen. However, the second was not too lucky. She burnt her fingers with Revolver Rani, her second attempt at trying women centric drama. Fans outrightly rejected Kangana as a gun totting, bra wearing gang Queen.

Kill Dil

The trailers promised a great film. Unfortunately, the film turned out to be below par with a plot that sounded ridiculous right from the word go. Parineeti Chopra looked like B-grade actress while comeback man Govinda made you yawn with his usual Govindagiri. Only Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar were bearable.

Daawat-E-Ishq

Parineeti had a terrible year. Neither her bubbly nature nor her good acting gave any good returns at the box -office. Blame it on her poor choice and selection of bad scripts.

Happy Ending

What exactly was Saif thinking when he created a concept like Happy Ending. An ageing Saif trying to romance a girl half his age and looking confused about his true feelings for her both mental and sexual didn't impress audience. Neither the beginning nor the end pleased audience.

 Action Jackson

This one bombed and how. Prabhu Dheva thought he could get away with murder yet again but he wasn't lucky this time around. Ajay Devgn lost a lot of credibility for hamming his way through in this hare-brained action film. To make matters worse, Prabhu made Ajay dance in the movie. Okay. Enough side!

Creature 3D

Horror queen Bipasha Basu failed to scare audience in her comeback film. The creature in the movie made people laugh rather than shriek in horror. The movie sank without a trace but thankfully Bipasha is still up and running.

It's Entertainment

Akshay Kumar decided enough working with sexy heroines and decided to cast a dog as the main protagonist. Unfortunately, he couldn't replicate his late father-in-law, Rajesh Khanna success in this light hearted comedy. Even Akshay's superstardom couldn't save the day for this movie.

Bewakoofiyaan

Sonam Kapoor tried everything possible in this movie. From comedy to bikini to even smooching. Alas! Nothing worked for the audience. It was nothing less than Bewakoofiyaan to watch this one.
