Lead actress Anupriya sacked even before Bayttaab takes off

Rookie actress Anupriya Kapoor who was all set to make that dream debut is in a mess and had only herself to blame. Anupriya was finalised to play the eldest sister Kanchan in Balaji telefilms’ Bayttaab on Sony Entertainment Televiison, apparently an important role in the show. But for the actress good things like this were not meant to be. It has been heard that the newcomer has been behaving badly with the production team and as a result she has been asked to quit. Says a source, “Anupriya could have had a dream start to her acting career. The Balaji show which is to air at primetime could have changed her life completely but it seems that she couldn’t handle it. The girl thought she had become too big and starting throwing tantrums on the sets. Once the shooting started she started to crib about her role whereas the actress had been briefed about her role well in advance. Such attitude was really uncalled for and it didn’t take much time for Ekta Kapoor to have her replaced. We are currently conducting auditions and hunting for her replacement.” Anupriya Kapoor who was alarmed about TellyChakkar being aware of the development however refused to comment. Says she, “I really don’t wish to comment on anything.” We sent a text message to producer Ekta Kapoor but she didn’t revert. The show which is a tale of three sisters and their hardships is tipped to launch on 5 October at 10:00 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
