Ekta slaps lawsuit against Sanjay Dutt to recover 1.25 crore

The morning newspapers buzzed with a new breaking news that looked all set to spell fresh legal trouble for Sanjay Dutt who is currently serving his time behind bars. Reports suggested Ekta Kapoor filing a lawsuit against Sanjay to recover 1.25 crore that the actor allegedly owes her. The matter apparently pertains to a film for which Ekta and Sanjay were slated to collaborate in 2008. Suniel Shetty too stepped in as a co-producer and at his insistence Ekta is believed to have handed over a cheque of Rs 1.25 crore. The film however failed to materialise as Sanjay took umbrage to Ekta joining hands with his then foe Sanjay Gupta to produce Shootout At Wadala. This resulted in the future collaboration between Sanjay and Ekta going kaput. Unfortunately for Ekta the money had already reached Sanjay's pockets. That Dutt and Gupta kissed and made up recently is a different story. Why Ekta delayed initiating measures to recover her money still remains a mystery although it has now been learnt that Suniel recently approached Sanjay's wife Manyata and asked her to pay up Ekta's money. However, Suniel's plea reportedly went unheard. Ekta it's reported has now decided to take the legal route and through her legal representative, Naik Naik & Co have apparently instituted legal proceedings against Sanjay to recover the money that is rightfully hers. However, when we texted Ekta asking if she has slapped a lawsuit against Sanjay Dutt, she responded saying, 'Rubbish'. We then contacted Balaji's CEO Tanuj Garg who declined from commenting on the matter. Our text message to Suniel Shetty went unanswered while Naik Naik & Co too declined from commenting on the matter. Keep reading Tellychakkar.com for more updates.
