Promo Review: Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani on Zee TV

Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani

Drashti Dhami has been away from the limelight for a while now. But that's all going to change now as the pretty actress is making her comeback on the small screen with the royal love story Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani on Zee TV.

The promo of the show looks promising. From what we have seen so far, the show feels like a breath of fresh air amidst all the saas-bahu sagas on TV right now. Dhami plays a poor girl who falls in love with the rich brat of a blue-blooded family.

Even though the show has the age-old premise of a poor girl-rich boy falling in love, the treatment is different and exciting, is what we have heard from the industry sources. The promo starts off with Drashti, playing a free-spirited young girl, causally bicycling in a saree. But she crashes her cycle into the luxury-car driving dude, played by Siddhant Karnick. While she expects him to help her in getting up, he ignores her and whizzes away in his expensive wheels. The girl is not just offended, but visibly upset. She gets up on her own and walks away indignantly.

The promo manages to intrigue and hold audience interest. The setting looks opulent and both Drashti and Karnick emote to impress, staying true to their characters.

So will these two realise that they are made for each other? Will love blossom between them and make it one of the hottest love stories of the small screen? Only time will tell.

Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani is being produced by Sphere Origins.
