Vikas Gupta to make Indian version of 'Game of Thrones' for Sony TV? Parth Samthaan roped in

Vikas Gupta and Parth Samthaan

Vikas Gupta and his team at Lost Boy Productions will be attempting something which has never been done before on Indian Television. Well, their upcoming show on Sony TV is expected to be the most expensive Indian show ever, as per information.

And what’s more? Reliable sources inform us that Vikas is in all probability making the desi version of the very popular American fantasy drama series, Game of Thrones

Yes, you heard it right!! Game of Thrones as we know, is an American drama series created for HBO. The series has received critical as well as popular acclaim from people all over.

Well, our loyal readers at Tellychakkar.com would also remember reading a ‘wishlist’ article going up on our site few days back, about the ‘desi’ actors who would look good in the popular roles in Game of Thrones.

Aah, seems like many a wishes have been fulfilled with this American series going ‘desi’…

With Colors getting the international rights of 24, and Star Plus following it up with the desi version of Everybody Loves Raymond, guess it is time for Sony Entertainment Television to take television viewing one notch higher, with this interesting Indian version of Game of Thrones, titled Rani Mahal.

We have chanced upon more info on the cast here…

As reported in media, the very talented Sakshi Tanwar has been roped in to play the role of Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen. Anita Hassanandani we hear will play the role of Cersei Lannister.

Any idea on who has been roped in to play the role of the angry, strong and young Jon Snow?

Well, it is none other than Parth Samthaan who was recently in news for having a troubled on-screen rapport with his lead co-star in the MTV show, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan.

Our source states, “Parth has been roped in for the role of Jon Snow.”

And with this, we also hear that Parth is apparently on road to moving out of the MTV show.

When contacted, Parth told us, “I have been approached for a show that will probably be one of the most expensive shows on TV. This is all I can say at the moment.”

We also tried to buzz Sakshi, but she remained out of reach.

Our attempts to get in touch with Producer Vikas Gupta were in vain.

We could not reach out to the channel spokesperson too, for a confirmation.
