Soumitra Chatterjee

Soumitra Chatterjee, who is one of the legendary actors of Tollywood, is the first one to play Feluda. He was seen as the detective in movies like ‘Sonar Kella’ and ‘Joi Baba Felunath’, which were helmed by Satyajit Ray himself. Soumitra might have played this role only twice, but the spark that his performances have left in the hearts of the audiences is immeasurable.

Sabyasachi Chakraborty

Next, the role was essayed by the suave and stylish Sabyasachi Chakraborty. He has played the role so many times in different stories that the young generation has grown up watching him as Feluda and believing that he is the real sleuth. He appeared as Feluda in films like ‘Bombaiyer Bombete’, ‘Kailashey Kelenkari’, ‘Tintorettor Jishu’, ‘Gorosthaney Sabdhan’ and ‘Royal Bengal Rohosso’. However, these movies were not directed by Satyajit but his son Sandip Ray. Needless to say, Sabyasachi’s performance as Feluda is mind-blowing.

Abir Chatterjee

The latest story from the series to have made its way into celluloid is ‘Badshahi Angti’,  directed by Sandip Ray. Theyoung heart-throb, Abir Chatterjee, was roped into play Feluda. His performance was well appreciated by both the critics and audiences.
