Shaleen Bhanot suffers 'twin injuries', continues to shoot for Sony TV's Suryaputra Karn

Shaleen Bhanot

Actor Shaleen Bhanot is indeed a thorough professional at work!! Even after getting severely injured twice in a gap of 10 days, the actor says he’s ‘not out’ and is raring to go!!

Well, Shaleen who plays the role of Duryodhan in Swastik Productions’ Suryaputra Karn for Sony TV has been getting regular help from doctors, and has even got himself hospitalized twice for bottles of glucose to keep him going, but continues to shoot for the show.

Yes, all started when Shaleen got hit on his cervical few days back when he was riding a horse. Post this, he had to shoot for a sequence wherein he had to fight with few kings and princes in the swayamvar scene of Bhanumathi.

As per sources, “Shaleen got hit on his hand by a real sword which formed a deep cut. Since the sequence being shot was really important, he continued with the shoot and went to see the doctor only after sunset. This was followed by an abscess formation on his neck for which he had to be hospitalized with administration of glucose and heavy antibiotics.”

When contacted, Shaleen said, “Yes, I am glad that I am surviving. The show requires so much of physical self that it is very difficult unlike a daily soap. I continued with all the problems as I had to complete the Friday telecast. I was then shifted to Pune for 2 days to be with my family, wherein I received treatment. The production house has been really sweet, and helped me overcome my problems. I am back now for shoot as there are few scenes where I am needed.”

“Even now the doctor advised me to get atleast 10 days of bed rest. However, I told him that I am returning to my shoot spot in the next two hours (smiles).”

Shaleen, we wish you a speedy recovery…
