Television young heart Saniya Touqeer, who has entered into the child actors brigade with her awestruck performance as Manu in &TV’s Waaris, is happy that she got a chance to dress up as a girl on-screen.

The kid, though a girl, plays the character of a boy in the show and had to chop off her hair to match the boyish look.

However, in the mahasangam episode of Gangaa, Badho Bahu, Santoshi Maa and Waaris, Saniya wore an anarkali dress and was decked up as a beautiful girl for the first time on TV.

“I got very happy and excited when I learnt about dressing up like a girl, which I miss dearly. I enjoyed the overall experience. Now that I have cut my hair, for the sequence, I had to wear a wig, which was a tad irritating, said Saniya to Tellychakkar.com.

Talking about shooting with Ratan, Rytasha and Aditi, she said, “It was an amazing shooting experience with Ratan didi, Rytasha didi and Aditi didi. They all dressed me up in the show. They have also become my good friends.”

Cho chweet Saniya!!!
