Diwali releases can make or break a record at the BO. It’s also the time when newcomers enter the industry with a huge sparkle in their eyes. As this year’s festivities kick-start, we take a look at five actors who arrived with a bang on the festival of lights…take a look:

Ranbir Kapoor:

He created ripples with his act in his debut movie and he continues to do that with this year’s much-awaited Diwali release! Is he the next big thing of Bollywood or not!

Neetu Chandra:

The power-packed actress debuted with a laugh-riot that laughed all the way to the bank. With a strong of matured roles in her kitty, she has her future firmly in place in Bollywood.

Uday Chopra:

While the Chopra scion failed to make his mark at the box office, his debut flick sure made BO history by raking in big bucks! He might have fizzled out after his dream debut, but he did arrive with a bang on Diwali day. That counts as something, no?
