Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum 2 (Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd) is all set to kick-start with some new faces and a fresh storyline.

As reported by Tellychakkar.com, Rhea Sharma will play the female lead while Avinesh Rekhi will be paired opposite her.

Now, we have news of an ambitious newbie actor joining the starcast.

Anuj, a Delhite, has been active in the theater arena and Diya Aur Baati 2 is his big ticket debut on TV.

Shares a source, “Anuj’s character Luv will be an IPS officer and would somewhat tread on Sandhya’s (Deepika Singh) footsteps. With a positive outlook on life, his role will also display varied shades.”
