I find the question about ‘settling down’ very offensive: Sumona Chakravarti

Sumona explains the definition of settling down...

Bong beauty Sumona Chakravarti, who has managed to tickle the funnybone in her audiences with her acts on daily soaps as well as comedy shows, is all set to return to fiction post Jamai Raja with Colors’ upcoming drama Dev (Peninsulla Productions).

It’s common for stars to get questioned about settling down in life when they haven’t but Sumona has a different take on ‘settling down.’

In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Sumona explained her definition of ‘settling down.’

She told us, “I find the question of ‘settling down’ very offensive. I don’t think marriage is a definition for settling down for a woman. Settling down means I need to be secured independently like financially, emotionally and physically. I don’t need a man or a marriage to do that. I can be very secure without marriage and I am very settled in life without marriage.”

“Everyone compares the idea of settling down with marriage and security and I take offence to that statement. I am very happy, independent, secured and settled in life,” she added.

We wish you all the luck Sumona!
