TellyChakkar was the first to break the news of Devoleena Bhattacharjee shooting for a pilot for Colors. The daily soap titled Kuch Naye Rishte, is a romantic drama and is helmed by Optimus Productions. Aftab Sheikh the head honcho of the production firm is currently working on the pilot.

While earlier TellyChakkar reported about the main leads being Devoleena and newbie Pratham Girdhar, now we have the ensemble cast as well.

As per our exclusive information, the makers have roped in big names for the upcoming project, to make it a stellar cast. Veteran actress Sonika Gill, who has been part of iconic films like Ram Lakhan, will play a primary character in the story. The actress will be returning to acting after a brief hiatus. On TV front she was seen in Sony TV’s Anamika.

Joining her would be experienced artist Avtar Gill. The Indian actor has been part of numerous films the last one being Wazir (2016). Not much is known about his character, but he will have enough importance in the narrative.

Apart from them Sudha Chandran, who has played one of the greatest vamps of Indian TV, is also part of the project. The 52-year-old actress will essay the male protagonist’s mother’s character. The actress has a fruitful association with the channel. She has done both the season of Naagin, mythological show Shani and daily soap Shastri Sisters on the GEC in the past.

The cast has already started shooting the pilot for the series. Although things are at very initial stages right now, sources maintain that the show will indeed see the light of the day.
