GoT final season will be bloodier: Sophie Turner

Actress Sophie Turner has promised more death and emotional torture in the final season of fantasy series Game of Thrones.

In an interview with entertainment portal Gold Derby, she said that the final season would be bloodier, reports dailymail.co.uk.

‘It’s Game of Thrones, so it is going to be bloodier and more emotionally torturous than all the years before’, Turner said.

Turner is seen as Sansa Stark in the show. Based on George R.R. Martin’s novels, the show is about the thrilling quest to claim the Iron Throne. It is the intricate and surprising tale that keeps one hooked to the show.

The final season will premiere next year. It will air in India on Star World.

Talking about the last season, Turner added, ‘I can tell you that there’s definitely a coming together of people to fight the impending doom. There’s a lot of tension between these little groups, battling for what they think is right.’

Ed Sheeran sued for $100 million

Singer Ed Sheeran has been sued for the second time over allegations that his song Thinking Out Loud is a copy of Marvin Gayes Let’s Get It On.

Structured Asset Sales, a company that owns part of the copyright of Gaye’s song, is suing Sheeran for $100 million, alleging that his 2014 single copies the melody, rhythms, harmonies, drums, bass line, backing chorus, tempo, syncopation, and looping of Gaye’s 1973 hit, reports theguardian.com.

Structured Asset Sales was founded by investment banker David Pullman, who in the late 1990s invited musicians to sell off their future income in exchange for money upfront. David Bowie, James Brown, and the Isley Brothers were among his clients.

A judge rejected its initial motion for intervention on June 11. Structured Asset Sales then filed a fresh lawsuit repeating the claim of copyright infringement.

Defendants listed in the new claim include Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Atlantic Records, and co-writer Amy Padge.

The suit follows another against Thinking Out Loud filed in August 2016 by the family of Townsend Jr, claiming that the melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic compositions of Thinking Out Loud were substantially and/or strikingly similar to the drum composition of Let’s Get It On.

Backstreet Boys surprise fans in elevator

Pop group Backstreet Boys surprised their fans with an elevator sing-along of their classic hit songs.

They gave unknowing fans the ride of their lives during a visit to the TRL Studios, surprising MTV employees in a segment dubbed TRelevator, reports people.com.
Brian Littrell started off the prank, riding the elevator solo when three women entered wearing Backstreet Boys shirts and immediately recognized the band member. They exchanged a few words, but the women really started to lose it when Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson got on a few floors later.

Not long after, A.J McLean and Nick Carter caught the ride, cluing the girls in that they were part of a staged gag.

Another woman enters the elevator shortly after, immediately exclaiming, ‘Oh my God! What is happening?’

After some encouragement from their fans, the entire group belted out their classic I Want It That Way.

But they weren’t the only fans to experience the shocking private concert. The Backstreet Boys welcomed many fans to join them in the cramped space where they performed more of their best-known hits like Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) and As Long As You Love Me.

Indiana Jones 5 won’t release in 2020

The fifth film in the Indiana Jones adventure series will not be hitting the screens on July 10, 2020, reports variety.com.

Filming was supposed to begin in April of 2019 in the UK, but sources close to the production say that shooting will no longer start next spring and will have to be pushed back by months, if not a year.

Potential crewmembers have already been informed of the delay.

Part of the issue is that the key members of the creative team have yet to sign off on a finished script.

It was reported that writer Jonathan Kasdan has been enlisted to deliver a new draft. A deal has yet to close to bring the writer on board, but it looks as though he will soon join the project.

Sources stressed that both filmmaker Steven Spielberg and actor Harrison Ford remain committed to revisiting the franchise about the globetrotting archaeologist.

Foxx and Holmes going strong despite breakup rumours

Actors Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are still together despite rumours that they have called off their relationship.

A source told pagesix.com that Jamie was telling friends that he’s expecting his girlfriend Katie Holmes to join him in AC (Atlantic City).

He added that Holmes’ daughter, Suri, wouldn’t be coming down because she was at summer camp.

But reports on Wednesday said that Holmes has dumped Foxx because she just couldn’t get over her trust issues.

Sources said Foxx was keeping it together in Atlantic City, where he indicated that Holmes and he were still a pair and would see each other there.

Holmes’ representative told people.com that the split was 100 per cent untrue.
They have been rumoured to be a couple since 2013 but have never publicly commented. Foxx even abruptly left an interview this year when the subject was turned to Holmes.

Midnight’s Children to be adapted for Netflix series

Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children is set to be adapted as a global original series for Netflix, the internet entertainment service announced on Friday.

Rushdie, who was knighted in 2007 for services to literature, said he was delighted that the book will have a new life on Netflix.

‘I am greatly looking forward to working with them to help create it,’ he said in a statement.

Midnight’s Children, launched in 1981, has won multiple accolades, including the 1981 Booker Prize, the Best of the Booker, and the James Tait Memorial Prize. It falls under postcolonial, postmodern, and magic realist literature as it follows the life of Saleem Sinai, born at the stroke of midnight on August 15, 1947, the time of India’s independence.

Erik Barmack, Vice President, International Originals, Netflix, said in a statement that Midnight’s Children was one of the greatest novels of the world and that its themes are still relevant to the India of today. The narrative continues to fascinate audiences decades after it was first published.

‘We are incredibly excited to translate this pioneering work of fiction that parallels the birth of modern India, for a global audience. The rich experience and talent of Indian creators combined with the global reach of Netflix have the potential for millions of more people around the world to rediscover this story,’ he said.

The man accused of breaking into singer Rihanna’s house has a few new followers on social media as the police have finally got hold of him.

According to a new legal document, a warrant was issued for cops to gain access to Eduardo Leon’s social media accounts as part of his felony stalking case, reports tmz.com.

Leon broke into Rihanna’s house last month and spent an entire night hanging out there, waiting for her to come home.

He told cops his plan was to have sex with her but not use force to make it happen. He was arrested instead.

Leon was also arrested a few days earlier for allegedly breaking into Rihanna’s previous home, believing she still lived there. Police believe gaining access to his social media will prove that he was fixated on Rihanna and made repeated efforts to locate her.
