MUMBAI: Chirag Jani who was last seen on Sony TV’s Porus will now be seen playing a significant role in Colors’ Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali starring Shaheer Sheikh and Sonarika Bhadoria in the lead roles.

The current track showcases that Akbar has found out the Salim and Anarkali are in love and in order to punish the girl, he gives her ghungroos and sentences her to entertain the darbar from now on. He also insults her by saying that she will not belong to one man now, but of every lover.

Now while this track continues Chiraj will make an entry into the show as Hakim Mirza, Akbar’s brother and will attack Akbar’s kingdom.

To know more about his role, we contacted Chiraj who shared, “My character Hakim Mirza is a negative man and has attacked Akbar 12 times in the past. This will be the 13th time Akbar will be attacked. I have shot for Porus prior to this and historical shows are really challenging. That’s the beauty of being a part of one!”
