MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the longest TV soap in the history of Indian TV, is the latest show to get a spin-off series. Shaheer Sheikh will play the male lead. The producer added that it will be a dynamic role, something Shaheer has not done in the past.

Shaheer and Rhea Sharma have begun shooting for Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke, and photos from the sets hit the internet recently. Apart from Shaheer and Rhea, Tu Aashiqui star Ritvik Arora will play a prominent role in the show. The spin-off will revolve around the younger generation of the Maheshwari clan, that is, Akshara's side of the family.

The spin-off is all set to launch on 18th March at 10 PM. The show will take the slot of Ishqbaaaz. Fans are super excited to see this new pair on the small screen.
